What We Stand For

Our Mission & The Non-Negotiables

What we set out to do in 1985, and the standards we've never compromised on since.

1

Our Mission

To serve quality fried chicken, made fresh, at a fair price — because fast food didn't have to be dominated by big American chains. It could come from a local business in the community.

2

Franchise Mission

To make it easy for every franchisee to replicate our proven business, with training and support that are effective, fair, and rooted in the same community values Morley's was built on.

3

Family-Run, Still

Founded by Indran Selvendran in 1985 and led today by his son Shan, Morley's has remained a family-run business through every stage of its growth.

Morley's founder outside the original Sydenham store

“Staying rooted in south London allowed Morley's to refine its offering, build a cult following, and create something authentic before expanding more widely. South London is where the heart is, it's home.”

CEO — Shan Selvendran
4

Prepared Fresh, Every Day

Ingredients are prepared fresh in-store every single day — not pre-packaged, not from a factory fridge.

5

No Processed Shortcuts

Every piece is properly seasoned and cooked to a recipe perfected over 40 years. No shortcuts, anywhere.

6

Built By The Community

South London is still home to our largest cluster of stores, our head office, and the family that started it all.
